VFW Post 3320 Donates Flagpole To Marysville’s BMX Track

MARYSVILLE – After two years of existence, the Marysville BMX track, 618 N. Main St., now has a flagpole on which to fly Old Glory and the Marysville City flag on the grounds, as the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3320 donated the flagpole and the flags at a short ceremony at the BMX track Wednesday evening.

Following the first raising of the flag, the National Anthem was played as BMX riders from around the state looked on prior to starting their regular Wednesday night schedule.

Chad Clarridge, an employee of the Marysville City Parks and Recreation Department and a full-time volunteer at the BMX track, said that the VFW post 3320 also provided a small plaque to go with the flagpole and that both the plaque and permanent lighting are expected to be placed on the site of the flagpole in the near future.
