UCHD Offering Community Flu Clinics



The Union County Health Department is holding a drive-thru flu vaccination clinic on Oct. 13 from 9 a.m. to noon. Appointments are strongly encouraged and can be made here. Walk-ins are welcome as resources allow. Ages 6 months and older are welcome. High-dose flu vaccine, recommended for people age 65 and older, will be available. Only flu shots will be administered. No COVID or other vaccines will be available.

A traditional flu vaccination clinic is also being held inside the Richwood-North Union Library on Oct. 14. Please call (937) 645-2058 to make an appointment. Please request the Richwood location when making the appointment. Ages 6 months and older are welcome. High-dose flu vaccine, recommended for people age 65 and older, will be available. DRIVE THRU CLINIC – OCT. 13

The Union County Health Department is offering drive thru flu shots Friday, Oct. 13 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Union County Fairgrounds, 845 N. Main St, Marysville (use State Route 4 entrance). Those interested in attending the drive thru flu clinic need to book an appointment time and complete the registration form online at www.uchd.net. Participants then come at their selected time on Oct. 13. A nurse will provide your vaccination through the window or door of your car. If you are unable to register online for any reason or would like more information, please call the Union County Health Department for assistance at (937) 645-2058. Walk-ins are welcome as resources allow.

RICHWOOD CLINIC – OCT. 14

The Union County Health Department is also offering flu shots Saturday, Oct. 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. inside the Richwood-North Union Library, 4 E. Ottawa St, Richwood. Appointments are strongly preferred. Call (937) 645-2058 and request the Richwood location to make an appointment. No online appointment scheduling is available for the Richwood location. Walk-ins welcome as resources allow, but an appointment helps ensure your vaccination.

Flu Vaccines Available from UCHD:

  • Regular Flu Shot – Protects against four strains of flu. Can be given to people ages 6 months & older.
  • High Dose Flu Shot – Contains four times the amount of antigen as a regular flu shot. Recommended for people ages 65 years & older as it can help build a stronger immune response.

Cost for Flu Shots:

Most insurance plans cover the cost of an annual flu shot. We accept most insurance plans, and welcome Medicaid and Medicare plans. Vaccines are available for uninsured and underinsured adults and children. No one is turned away for inability to pay and a sliding fee scale down to $0 is available. Through the Ohio Vaccine for Children program, free and low-cost vaccinations are available for children without insurance.
