Marysville FFA Welding Team Wins Second Place At Ohio FFA State Convention

COLUMBUS – The Marysville FFA Agricultural Mechanics Engineering (Welding) team placed second in the state at the Ohio FFA State Convention conducted at the Ohio Expo Center May 5. This Career Development Event (CDE) brings a blue banner as a new addition to the Marysville FFA chapter.

The Marysville FFA’s Agricultural Mechanics Engineering team was charged to draw a blueprint of their design and create a materials list, including prices, before submitting it for the State Convention. The Marysville team’s work, a Garden Tool Organizer, was selected as one of the top 12 designs from across the state and the team of Matthew Vollrath, Meghan Morey, and Austin Bennett had three hours on site at the Ohio FFA State Convention to fabricate the tool, placing second after the three hours of work.

Contributing team members concluded Austin Bennett, Matthew Vollrath, Meghan Morey, Emerson Trapp, and Isaiah Brooks.  We are very proud of these individuals! Their Innovation, Collaboration, and Inspiration led them towards outstanding results.
