2021 Tour of Gardens Slated for July 11

Tour five of the most awe-inspiring residential gardens and the demonstration gardens at the Agricultural Center that Union County has to offer at “Union County in Bloom”, the 2021 Union County Master Gardener Tour of Gardens.  The self-guided tour will be held rain or shine on Sunday, July 11 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Map and garden locations will be provided with ticket purchase.  Pre-sale tickets can be purchased for $8 apiece until July 8 at Dutch Mill Greenhouse, Plumm Home, Scheiderer Farms Greenhouse and the Union County Chamber of Commerce or Union Station. Day of tickets can be purchased for $10 at the Agricultural Center, 18000 St. Rt. 4, Marysville.  In each case, please pay with exact change or check.

Gardens may be visited in any order.  A variety of garden settings will spark ideas that you can replicate in your own gardens.  A few examples of the gardens that will inspire you are a wildflower prairie area, a koi pond, a vineyard, a tree preserve, vegetables grown in repurposed containers, native plants that provide food for pollinators, fruit trees and lovely sun and shade perennial gardens.

Door prizes of two $50 gift certificates, one each to Dutch Mill and Scheiderer Farms Greenhouse, will be awarded on the day of the tour.

The Union County Master Gardeners is a not-for-profit organization, promoting environmentally sound, research-based gardening practices primarily to the residents of Union County under the auspices of The Ohio State University Extension of Union County.
